There is a slight risk of both severe weather an excessive rainfall, mainly over about the western and southwestern half of Iowa. The primary severe weather threat will be damaging wind gusts, but a few tornadoes are also possible. Meanwhile, heavy rain could lead to new or renewed river flooding in some areas. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday Lower thunderstorm chances are forecast on Wednesday and Thursday. There may be a low threat of severe weather on Wednesday, but this will be better assessed in the coming days. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotters may be needed this evening into tonight, especially in the western half of Iowa. $$
