The primary threat is locally heavy rainfall which could lead to flash flooding, with some locally gusty winds up to 40 mph in the strongest storms. The Weather Prediction Center has a Slight Risk for flash flooding for counties approximately along and south of Interstate 80 for this afternoon into early tonight. Some tributary rivers in eastern Iowa may rise above flood stage over the next several days.
