URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS LIKELY FORM SAN ANTONIO WEST
AND SOUTHWEST TO THE RIO GRANDE AND INTO PORTIONS OF THE HILL
COUNTRY THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY EVENING...

.A dryline will move across South-Central Texas through the day
and usher in very dry air and breezy winds. Relative humidity
values will fall below 20 percent and winds will be northwesterly
at 15 to 25 mph with higher gusts to near 35 mph at times. Winds
will decrease by mid-evening tonight with humidity levels
recovering.

EVENING FOR WILDFIRE SPREAD POTENTIAL FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 183,
202, 203, 204, 205, 217, 218, 219, 220, AND 228...

The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a
Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from noon today to 7 PM CDT
this evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* WIND...Northwesterly 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.

* HUMIDITY...10 to 20 percent.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
