.DISCUSSION...

Good morning, Amy! Another warm day is expected in central Georgia
today, with temperatures at the burn site climbing over 80 by 1 PM
and reaching a high of 86. High clouds over central Georgia are
expected to be more abundant today then yesterday, but low clouds
are not expected at this time. Relative humidity values will start
the morning around 85 percent at ignition time, then drop quickly
through the morning and early afternoon. RH values will drop below
30 percent between 2-6 PM, and down to a minimum of 25 percent
around 4 PM. 20 ft winds will be SSW (190-220 degrees this morning,
at 3 mph or less. 20 ft winds will shift to near due S and increase
to 5-7 mph by noon and through the remainder of the afternoon.
Transport winds will be SW at less than 3 mph at ignition time, but
will increase quickly through the morning, reaching 6 mph by 9 AM
and 10-12 mph by noon. Transport winds will shift to S at 10-12 mph
by 3 PM and through the remainder of the afternoon. These transport
winds, combined with mixing heights around 4600 ft, will promote
good smoke dispersal this afternoon.

Winds will diminish after sunset, with 20 ft winds becoming S at 3
mph after 9 PM. Transport winds will similarly decrease to S at 5
mph after 8 PM. RH values on Wednesday morning will only reach as
high as 85 percent, so fog formation appears to be unlikely at the
burn site. Rain chances on Wednesday are forecast to stay to the
north of the burn site, although skies are expected to be mostly
cloudy through the majority of the day. Please feel free to contact
us if you have any further questions or concerns.
