...STRONG STORMS ACROSS NORTHERN ARIZONA ON SUNDAY....

DEEP MOISTURE CONTINUED OVER NORTHERN ARIZONA TODAY. THIS MOISTURE
ALLOWED NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP. SOME OF THESE
STORMS PRODUCED LARGE HAIL AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. HERE IS A LIST OF
WARNINGS AND ADVISORIES THAT WERE ISSUED SUNDAY:

AT 1217 PM A SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY WAS ISSUED FOR SYCAMORE
CANYON.

AT 1237 PM A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR LARGE HAIL WAS ISSUED
FOR AN AREA AROUND WEST FORK OAK CREEK ABOUT 11 MILES NORTH OF
SEDONA.

AT 1259 PM A FLASH FLOOD WARNING WAS ISSUED FOR THE SAME
THUNDERSTORM OVER THE SLIDE FIRE AREA. GAUGES IN THAT AREA RECORDED
0.50 TO 1.00 INCHES OF RAIN. DEBRIS WERE REPORTED ON HIGHWAY 89A.

AT 255 PM A SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY WAS ISSUED FOR THE
HASSAYAMPA RIVER AND ITS TRIBUTARIES IN SOUTH CENTRAL YAVAPAI
COUNTY.

AT 442 PM A SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY WAS ISSUED FOR EXTREME
SOUTHEASTERN YAVAPAI COUNTY EAST OF I-17 AND WEST OF THE VERDE RIVER.

AT 629 PM A SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY WAS ISSUED FOR SOUTHWESTERN
NAVAJO COUNTY. SPOTTERS REPORTED DIME SIZED HAIL COVERING THE GROUND
TWO INCHES DEEP...VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND RUNNING WATER OVER ROADWAYS
IN HEBER.

AT 655 PM HEAVY RAIN DETECTED BY RADAR PROMPTED THE ISSUANCE OF A
SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR THE AREA BOUNDED BY CARRIZO CREEK
AND CORDUROY CREEK IN SOUTHERN NAVAJO AND EAST CENTRAL GILA
COUNTIES.

AT 914 PM A SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY WAS ISSUED FOR THE SOUTHERN
PORTION OF THE SLIDE FIRE AREA.
