A COMPLEX WINTER STORM WILL CONTINUE TO IMPACT EASTERN UTAH AND
WESTERN COLORADO FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. PRECIPITATION BEGAN
FALLING ACROSS MAINLY THE NORTHERN HALF OF THE REGION DURING THE DAY
FRIDAY, SLOWLY SPREADING SOUTHWARD.  THE FOLLOWING ARE PRELIMINARY
24 HOUR PRECIPITATION REPORTS FROM WESTERN COLORADO AND EASTERN
UTAH, ENDING AT THE TIMES INDICATED WITH EACH REPORT.  THE FIRST
SECTION HIGHLIGHTS 24 HOUR SNOWFALL, AND THE SECOND HIGHLIGHTS
RAINFALL OR THE WATER CONTENT OF THE SNOW. ALSO, KEEP IN MIND THAT
SNOW AMOUNTS ATTRIBUTED TO SNOTELS ARE ESTIMATED.

IN SUMMARY, AS OF ABOUT 8 AM SATURDAY MORNING, SNOWFALL HAD FAVORED
THE NORTHWEST COLORADO MOUNTAINS, WITH THE WEST CENTRAL MOUNTAINS
COMING IN SECOND. ACROSS THE NORTHWEST COLORADO HIGHER ELEVATIONS
MANY NEW SNOW REPORTS WERE IN THE 5 TO 15 INCH RANGE. ACROSS THE
WEST CENTRAL COLORADO MOUNTAINS, MANY REPORTS FELL IN THE 2 TO 6
INCH RANGE. THE SOUTHWEST COLORADO MOUNTAINS HAD RECEIVED LITTLE TO
NO SNOW AS OF 8 AM THIS MORNING.  ACROSS EASTERN UTAH, UP TO 4
INCHES FELL OVER THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS, WITH LESSER AMOUNTS OVER
THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN MOUNTAINS.
