PITKIN AND SOUTHEASTERN GARFIELD COUNTIES UNTIL 545 PM MDT...

At 457 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 10 miles southwest of Rifle to 9 miles south of
Silt to 7 miles west of Carbondale to 10 miles southwest of Basalt.
Movement was northeast at 25 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Glenwood Springs, Rifle, Carbondale, New Castle, Basalt, Silt, Cattle
Creek, El Jebel, Emma and Shoshone.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 86 and 129.
 Colorado 13 between mile markers 1 and 8.
 Colorado 82 between mile markers 1 and 25.
 Colorado 133 between mile markers 54 and 68.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
