...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHEASTERN UINTAH COUNTY UNTIL
500 PM MDT...

At 411 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Vernal, moving southeast at 15 mph.

Dime size hail, heavy rain and winds in excess of 40 mph will be
possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Vernal, Naples and Maeser.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 40 in Utah between mile markers 138 and 159.
 U.S. Highway 84 in Colorado  U.S. Highway 191 in Utah between mile
markers 353 and 362.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
