.DISCUSSION...
Less than a tenth of an inch of rain fell across south and
western NH Thursday and overnight. Temperatures today will be more
uniform across the area, into the upper 50s to around 60, but a
couple degrees cooler along the coast in onshore flow. This will
also keep RH vales from falling off, remaining in the 40 to 50
percent range. A cold front will pass tonight, bringing showers to
the area. There was an uptick in expected rainfall from southern
NH up along the Maine coast. Wetting rain now appears more likely
in these areas tonight through Sat morning. Rain associated with
this front ends around noon Sat, with conditions warming and
drying rapidly through the afternoon. Deep mixing is expected, and
forecast gusts have increased, potentially up to 30 mph. Can`t
rule out additional shower development across the mtns, foothills,
and interior to close the day out. Winds turn more southwesterly
through early next week as a much drier airmass arrives. The
driest day appears to be likely on Monday, when RH is forecast to
fall into the 20s percent and may dip into the teens in a few
places. The next widespread chance of rain is forecast for the
middle of next week.
