...FREEZING TEMPERATURES END GROWING SEASON...

Low temperatures dropped into the upper 20s to lower 30s across
northern New Hampshire and northern Maine last night, bringing an
end to the growing season. The following zones have now had
widespread freezing temperatures:

In New Hampshire...
Northern Coos
Southern Coos

In Western Maine...
Northern Oxford
Southern Oxford
Northern Franklin
Southern Franklin
Central Somerset
Southern Somerset

The National Weather Service will no longer issue Freeze Warnings or
Frost Advisories for these zones this year. Frost/Freeze products
will resume in the spring. People living in elevated terrain or near
lakes within these zones who have not had a freeze may wish to
monitor the latest forecast for freezing temperatures.

Elsewhere in New Hampshire and western Maine, the National Weather
Service will continue to issue Freeze Warnings and Frost
advisories until a hard freeze occurs... or until 2 weeks after
the date of the average fall frost.
