FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHEAST TEXAS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON/GALVESTON TX
252 PM CDT SUN MAY 1 2016

.DISCUSSION...
WITH A WEAK COLD FRONT SITUATED ACROSS SOUTHEAST TEXAS...NORTHERN
PARTS OF THE AREA WILL BE MOSTLY QUIET TODAY. HOWEVER...AREAS SOUTH
OF THE FRONT COULD SEE SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.
RAIN CHANCES ARE EXPECTED TO PERSIST INTO TONIGHT AS THE FRONT
WAFFLES OVER THE REGION AND A DISTURBANCE MOVES IN FROM THE WEST.
THIS FRONT IS FINALLY EXPECTED TO PUSH OFF THE COAST LATE TONIGHT
INTO EARLY MONDAY MORNING. A COOLER AND DRIER AIR MASS WILL PREVAIL IN
ITS WAKE AS WINDS SHIFT TO THE NORTHEAST AND NORTH FOR MUCH OF THE
UPCOMING WEEK.
