...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN GEORGETOWN COUNTY
THROUGH 430 PM EDT...

At 340 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Hampton Plantation State Park, or 10 miles north of McClellanville,
moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Georgetown, DeBordieu Colony, Yawkey South Island, Winyah Bay
Entrance, North Santee, Lambert, and Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature`s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
