...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 AM EDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...The following counties in northern Kentucky, Bracken,
Grant, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson.
* WHEN...Until 715 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 321 AM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are
possible.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Maysville, Williamstown, Falmouth, Washington, Lewisburg,
Brooksville, Morgan, Mount Olivet, Corinth, Germantown,
Monterey, Sardis, Mckinneysburg, Browning Corner, Milford,
Neave, Santa Fe, Petra, Kentontown and Powersville.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
