..NWS Meteorologists Have Completed Surveying Storm Damage in
Lewis County Kentucky...

The National Weather Service office in Wilmington OH has completed
a storm survey for Lewis County Kentucky. The survey was in
relation to the severe thunderstorms that moved through the area
on March 1 2017.

Preliminary results from the survey team indicate that straight
line winds caused the storm damage with a maximum estimated wind
of 80 to 90 mph.

A final assessment including results of the survey are expected
to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information
Statement later tonight.
