...NWS Meteorologists Survey Storm Damage in Bracken and Lewis
County Kentucky...

The National Weather Service office in Wilmington OH has
conducted a storm survey for Bracken County KY. The survey will
also evaluate damage that occurred in Lewis County KY. The survey
is in relation to the severe thunderstorms that moved through the
area on March 1 2017.

The survey determined that straight line winds were the cause of
storm damage in Bracken County, including destroyed barns near
Felicity and Foster, and a damaged home west of Johnsville.
Numerous trees were also knocked down or damaged during the event.

A final assessment including results of the survey are expected
to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information
Statement by 8 pm.
