...STRAIGHT LINE WIND DAMAGE CONFIRMED IN OHIO AND DEARBORN
COUNTIES IN INDIANA...

The National Weather Service office in Wilmington OH has completed
a storm survey for Ohio and Dearborn Counties in Indiana. The
survey is in relation to the severe thunderstorms that moved
through the area on March 1 2017.

Two swathes of damage were surveyed. The first was across the
southern section of Ohio County. The other ran from Southern
Dearborn County into Northeast Ohio County.

Preliminary results from the survey team indicate that straight
line winds caused the storm damage in both areas.

A final assessment including results of the survey are expected
to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information
Statement later tonight.

It will also be available on our website at weather.gov/iln.
