...Summary...
The National Weather Service in Wilmington OH has confirmed an
EF2 tornado in Darke County OH and Miami County OH. The tornado
occurred on March 14.

This tornado also impacted Delaware and Randolph counties in
Indiana, before entering Ohio. The Indiana portion of this tornado
tracked for 25.0 miles and was rated EF3 by NWS Indianapolis IN.
The rest of this statement will describe the path of the tornado
through Darke County OH and Miami County OH.

The tornado entered Darke County just south of Converse Road at
820 PM, moving east. EF1 damage was noted at several locations in
Darke County, with winds estimated to be as high as 110 MPH. Some
of the roads with the greatest impact in Darke County were Fisher
Dangler Road, Fox Road, and Horatio Harris Creek Road. Several
homes had partial roof removal, with debris scattering into
treelines and across adjacent fields. Two injuries were reported
in Greenville Township in Darke County.

The tornado entered Miami County at 852 PM, crossing State Route
721 just north of Grandview Drive. The tornado reached EF2
intensity, with winds of up to 120 MPH, near the intersection of
Klinger Road and Rangeline Road. Two homes had a significant
amount of roof removal as well as some external wall removal, and
other nearby properties had outbuildings that were severely
damaged.

The last damage noted from the tornado was along State Route 48
near the intersection with Klinger Road. The tornado is believed
to have dissipated near this location at 900 PM.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington OH would like to thank
the Emergency Management Agencies of Darke County and Miami
County for their assistance with this survey.
