...Damage Surveys planned for Thursday...

Due to recent severe weather across our area, the National Weather
Service plans to conduct storm damage surveys Thursday.

Damage surveys will likely be needed in Greene, Clark, and Miami
counties where both photographs and damage reports were received.
In particular, some of these damage reports include:

- Damage to a Sunoco Station south of Styer Dr. Nearby roof damage
to a grocery store (Clark County).
- Several trees and power lines down near the intersection of
Dayton Xenia Rd and Trebein Rd (Greene County).
- Trees and power lines down in Bethel Township at Bellefontaine
Rd between U.S. highway 40 & Palmer Rd (Miami County).
- Two homes with structural damage near highway 201 at Studebaker
  Rd (Miami County).
- Deweese Rd at Peterson closed due to power lines and trees down
  (Miami County).

It is believed that a tornado or multiple tornadoes were
responsible for the damage in certain locations in these
counties.

There may be additional locations that require damage surveys
that aren`t listed above. We will be in contact with emergency
managers from the affected counties to determine a specific plan
for damage surveys, as well as assess the need for additional
surveys in other locations.

If you have observed any weather-related damage, please report it
to the National Weather Service via severe weather reporting
methods or by calling 937-383-0031.
