...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast and northern Florida, including the
  following counties, in northeast Florida, Putnam. In northern
  Florida, Alachua and Marion.

* WHEN...Until 530 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 218 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Ocala, Palatka, Rainbow Lakes Estates, Pomona Park, Fort
    McCoy, Citra, East Palatka, Orange Springs, Sparr, Anthony,
    Lake Delancy, Hollister, Fruitland, Ocala Airport, Satsuma,
    San Mateo, Orange Mills, Welaka, Reddick and Burbank.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
