Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
433 AM EDT Thu Jun 29 2017

.DISCUSSION...A retreating ridge of high pressure will give way to
a weak area of low pressure that will be moving across the Tennessee
valley today. This weather system will spark a few showers and storms
generally along and west of Interstate 75 from late this morning through
early this afternoon. Moisture will be on the increase to end out the
week, as winds swing around to the south and warm moist air off the
Gulf of Mexico feeds into the area. Minimum humidity values today will
be between 40 and 50 percent for most locations, and between 60 and
70 percent on Friday across most of the area. Winds may increase to
around 10 mph today along an north of Interstate 64, but should only
max out at 5 to 10 mph everywhere else.
