...ABNORMALLY DRY CONDITIONS WERE PRESENT ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE
NORTHWESTERN SANDHILLS...AS WELL AS PORTIONS OF SOUTHWESTERN
NEBRASKA...

PRECIPITATION OVER THE PAST 30 DAYS WAS SPOTTY ACROSS WESTERN AND
NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA. FOR MOST OF WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL
NEBRASKA...PRECIPITATION DURING THE LATTER HALF OF SEPTEMBER AND
THE FIRST HALF OF OCTOBER...RANGED FROM SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL TO
ONE TO TWO INCHES BELOW NORMAL.

AS OF OCTOBER 18TH ACCORDING TO THE US DROUGHT MONITOR...
ABNORMALLY DRY CONDITIONS WERE SEEN ACROSS NORTHERN SHERIDAN AND
NORTHWESTERN CHERRY COUNTIES. A SECOND AREA WAS OUTLINED AS
ABNORMALLY DRY...ACROSS PORTIONS OF KEITH...PERKINS...CHASE...
HAYES AND FAR SOUTHWEST LINCOLN COUNTIES.

THE LATEST 6 TO 10 DAY OUTLOOK COVERING OCTOBER 26TH THROUGH
OCTOBER 30TH...CALLS FOR ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES FOR AREAS.
PRECIPITATION FOR THE SAME PERIOD CALLS FOR A RANGE FROM BELOW
NORMAL ACROSS FAR WESTERN NEBRASKA TO ABOVE NORMAL ACROSS
PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA.

THE LATEST 8 TO 14 DAY OUTLOOK COVERING OCTOBER 28TH THROUGH
NOVEMBER 3RD CALLS FOR ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES FOR ALL OF
WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA. THE PRECIPITATION OUTLOOK FOR
THE SAME PERIOD IS FOR ABOVE NORMAL PRECIPITATION ACROSS THE
OUTLOOK AREA.

ACCORDING TO THE CLIMATE PREDICTION CENTER...THE LATEST OUTLOOK FOR
NOVEMBER CALLS FOR ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES FOR ALL OF WESTERN
AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA. THE PRECIPITATION OUTLOOK IS FOR EQUAL
CHANCES FOR ABOVE...BELOW OR NEAR NORMAL PRECIPITATION FOR ALL OF
WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA.

THE LATEST 3 MONTH OUTLOOK FOR NOVEMBER...DECEMBER AND JANUARY...
CALLS FOR HIGHER CHANCES FOR ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES FOR AREAS
ALONG AND SOUTH OF AN OSHKOSH TO NORTH PLATTE LINE. NORTH OF THIS
LINE...EQUAL CHANCES FOR ABOVE...BELOW OR NEAR NORMAL
TEMPERATURES ARE FORECASTED. THE PRECIPITATION OUTLOOK FOR THE
SAME PERIOD IS FOR EQUAL CHANCES FOR ABOVE...BELOW OR NEAR NORMAL
PRECIPITATION.

SINCE NO DROUGHT CONDITIONS ARE OCCURRING IN THE OUTLOOK
AREA...AN ABRIDGED DROUGHT INFORMATION STATEMENT IS ISSUED. WHEN
THE ONSET OF MODERATE DROUGHT CONDITIONS BEGIN...AN EXPANDED
