...DROUGHT CONDITIONS REMAIN ABSENT FROM WESTERN AND NORTH
CENTRAL NEBRASKA...

OVER THE PAST MONTH...TEMPERATURES WERE GENERALLY BELOW NORMAL
ACROSS NORTHERN NEBRASKA...AND ABOVE NORMAL IN SOUTHWESTERN
NEBRASKA. PRECIPITATION REMAINED ADEQUATE OVER THE PAST MONTH
ACROSS ALL OF WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA.

THE LATEST 6 TO 10 DAY OUTLOOK COVERING JANUARY 26TH THROUGH JANUARY
30TH CALLS FOR ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES ACROSS ALL OF WESTERN AND
NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA. BELOW NORMAL PRECIPITATION IS FORECAST FOR
THE SAME TIME PERIOD.

THE LATEST 8 TO 14 DAY OUTLOOK COVERING JANUARY 28TH THROUGH
FEBRUARY 3RD CALLS FOR ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND ABOVE NORMAL
PRECIPITATION FOR ALL OF WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA.

ACCORDING TO THE CLIMATE PREDICTION CENTER...THE LATEST OUTLOOK FOR
FEBRUARY SHOWS A BETTER CHANCE FOR ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES ACROSS
ALL OF WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA. FOR PRECIPITATION...MOST
OF THE AREA WILL HAVE SLIGHTLY BETTER CHANCES FOR ABOVE NORMAL
PRECIPITATION FOR THE MONTH.

THE LATEST 90 DAY OUTLOOK FOR FEBRUARY...MARCH AND APRIL CALLS FOR
THE BETTER CHANCES FOR ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES TO CONTINUE THROUGH
THE THREE MONTH PERIOD. IN ADDITION...ALL OF WESTERN AND NORTH
CENTRAL NEBRASKA HAS BETTER CHANCES FOR ABOVE NORMAL PRECIPITATION
AS WELL...WITH THE BEST CHANCES IN SOUTHWESTERN NEBRASKA.

SINCE NO DROUGHT CONDITIONS ARE OCCURRING IN THE OUTLOOK AREA...AN
ABRIDGED DROUGHT INFORMATION STATEMENT IS ISSUED. WHEN THE ONSET OF
MODERATE DROUGHT CONDITIONS BEGIN...AN EXPANDED DROUGHT INFORMATION
STATEMENT WILL BE ISSUED ON THE THIRD THURSDAY OF THE MONTH.
