FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON LAKE MICHIGAN.

WAVES ARE PROVIDED AS A RANGE OF SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHTS...WHICH
IS THE AVERAGE HEIGHT OF THE HIGHEST 1/3 OF THE WAVES...ALONG
WITH THE AVERAGE HEIGHT OF THE HIGHEST 10 PERCENT OF THE WAVES
WHICH WILL OCCASIONALLY BE ENCOUNTERED.

.SYNOPSIS...A WEAK RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE OF 30.2 INCHES EXTENDS
ACROSS THE UPPER GREAT LAKES. MEANWHILE...ONE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM
OF 29.7 INCHES IS DROPPING INTO NORTHWESTERN MISSOURI WHILE
ANOTHER LOW OF 27.6 INCHES DEVELOPS OVER THE NORTHERN GULF OF
MEXICO NEAR NEW ORLEANS. THE GULF LOW WILL LIFT NORTHEAST OFF THE
CAROLINA COAST TONIGHT WHILE DEEPENING TO 29.5 INCHES AND THE
OTHER MISSOURI LOW WILL DISSIPATE AS IT DROPS INTO THE LOWER OHIO
VALLEY.  ANOTHER ARCTIC HIGH OF 30.8 INCHES WILL BUILD OUT OF
CANADA AND INTO THE NORTHERN PLAINS THURSDAY AND THEN SPREAD ACROSS
THE GREAT LAKES AND OHIO VALLEY BY FRIDAY. THIS AREA OF HIGH
PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO DOMINATE THE EASTERN CONUS...AS THE
CENTER OF THE HIGH SETTLES INTO THE OHIO VALLEY FRIDAY NIGHT. THE
HIGH SHOULD THEN MOVE EAST TO THE MID ATLANTIC REGION ON
SATURDAY. A WEAK TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE IS EXPECTED TO CROSS LAKE
MICHIGAN ON SUNDAY AS THE FIRST AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE MOVES OFF THE
ATLANTIC COAST AND ANOTHER ARCTIC HIGH BUILDS OUT OF CANADA AND
INTO THE NORTHERN PLAINS.
