...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT THIS EVENING
FOR NORTHWESTERN LAKE IL COUNTY...

At 611 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain continuing across the warned area with rates up to 0.5 inch per
15 minutes. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Rainfall rates
have diminished over the last 15 minutes but flooding remains likely
across the area.

HAZARD...Flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage
         ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and
         other poor drainage areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Round Lake Beach, Lake Villa, Grays Lake, Gurnee.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Warning means rapid-onset flooding is imminent or may
already be occurring. Persons along creeks, drainage ditches, and
other waterways should take immediate precautions to protect life
and property.
