.DISCUSSION...
At 2:25 pm, Thunderstorms have developed to just to the west and southwest of the
incident area. Outflow from the storms is already producing gusty winds of 20 to 30 mph
in the area, mainly from the southwest. The storms are very slow-moving, and may or may
not move directly over the incident area. If they do, heavy downpours, strong wind gusts,
and frequent lightning are possible. The afternoon gridded wind speed forecast below is not
going to accurately reflect short-term wind trends, as they will be mainly driven by
the storms. Storm activity is still expected to die down early to mid evening,
leaving generally light southeast to easterly winds for the remainder of the night.

If short-term storm trends are needed, please give our office a call at 806-745-4926.
Thanks.
