.NOW...
Through 3 am...widespread light to moderate rain with embedded
pockets of heavy rain and a few rumbles of thunder will continue
to edge eastward across the southwest and south-central Texas
Panhandle and western and central South Plains. Rainfall rates of
a tenth to quarter inch an hour will be common with localized
rates near a half inch. The strongest activity will also produce
wind gusts to 40 mph. Motorists should be alert for reduced
visibilities and ponding of water on roadways and slow down
accordingly. Several spots that will be affect by the heavier rain
include Nazareth, Hart, Olton, Whiteface, Wellman and Brownfield.
