.NOW...
Through 1 am...a broad area of rain and a few embedded
thunderstorms will continue to affect the southeast Texas
Panhandle into the Rolling Plains. As of 1120 pm...the widespread
rain was roughly along and east of a Silverton to Matador to
Jayton line...and was shifting eastward around 30 mph. Persistent
light to moderate rain will yield an additional quarter to half
inch of rain at many spots before coming to an end. Motorists
should remain alert for ponding of water on the roadways and slow
down accordingly.
