THROUGH 730 AM...LIGHT SNOW WILL BE FOUND ACROSS THE ENTIRE SOUTH
PLAINS...ROLLING PLAINS AND FAR SOUTHERN TEXAS PANHANDLE. WITHIN
THIS SHIELD OF LIGHT SNOW IS A 10 TO 20 MILE WIDE BAND OF HEAVY
SNOW MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH. AT 6 AM...THIS HEAVY SNOW BAND
WAS LOCATED FROM HALE CENTER...TO FLOYDADA...AND SOUTHEAST TO
GUTHRIE. SNOWFALL RATES OF 1.5 INCHES PER HOUR ARE OCCURRING
WITHIN THIS BAND ALONG WITH VISIBILITIES OF 1/4 MILE OR LESS.

ELSEWHERE...LIGHTER SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE WITH
ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF AN INCH OR TWO POSSIBLE THROUGH
THE REMAINDER OF THE MORNING. TOTAL SNOWFALL BY MID DAY THROUGHOUT
THE REGION WILL RANGE FROM 1 TO 3 INCHES...WITH NARROW SWATHS OF
4 TO 5 INCHES POSSIBLE IN LOCATIONS SUCH AS LUBBOCK.

PERSONS WHO MUST TRAVEL THIS MORNING SHOULD ALLOW PLENTY OF
TIME TO REACH THEIR DESTINATION AS ROADS ARE SNOW PACKED AND ICY.
