CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE SOUTHEAST TEXAS PANHANDLE INTO THE
NORTHEAST SOUTH PLAINS AND NORTHERN ROLLING PLAINS THROUGH LATE
MORNING. THE STRONGEST ACTIVITY WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN...OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING AND
WIND GUSTS TO 30 MPH. WHERE THE HEAVIEST RAIN DOES FALL...FROM
NEAR DUMONT TO PADUCAH ALONG WITH GROW AND CHALK...RAINFALL RATES
IN EXCESS OF ONE INCH AN HOUR WILL BE POSSIBLE...WHICH WHEN
FALLING ON ALREADY WET GROUNDS...WILL RESULT IN FLOODING OF LOW
LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS. MOTORISTS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR
PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS AND NEVER DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED
ROADWAYS.
