AS OF 5 PM...ISOLATED TO WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WERE ONGOING ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE SOUTH
PLAINS...WITH THE MOST VIGOROUS ACTIVITY LOCATED NEAR THE
INTERSECTION OF LUBBOCK...HOCKLEY...LAMB...AND HALE COUNTIES.
THESE STORMS ARE GENERALLY NOT WELL ORGANIZED AND ARE MOVING
SOMEWHAT ERRATICALLY TO THE SOUTHWEST AT APPROXIMATELY 10 MILES
PER HOUR. THE MOST SIGNIFICANT THREAT WILL BE FOR PERIODS OF VERY
HEAVY RAINFALL...AS THE SLOW STORM MOTIONS MAY RESULT LOCALIZED
AREAS OF MINOR FLOODING. IN ADDITION...OCCASIONAL WIND GUSTS AS
HIGH AS 50 MPH ALONG WITH FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING WILL
BE POSSIBLE. IN ADDITION TO THE ALREADY ONGOING
STORMS...ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS MAY DEVELOP THROUGH 6 PM ALONG
INTERACTING OUTFLOW BOUNDARIES.
