Through 10:30 PM...scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will
move north-northeast at 30 mph over the far southwest Texas
Panhandle. Expect brief heavy rain up to 1/4 inch with the
storms. Some icing is also possible on elevated surfaces in
Swisher County. Widespread fog will persist region wide with
visibilities occasionally as low as one block. Motorists should be
alert for wet and slick roadways as well as low visibility and
slow down accordingly.

Areas of drizzle, fog and light rain showers will will continue
to affect much of the South Plains, Rolling Plains and southeast
Texas Panhandle through 10:30 pm. Areas along and east of the
Interstate 27 and Highway 87 corridor will remain at or just below
freezing which will result in additional light glazing of ice on
elevated surfaces including bridges, overpasses, trees, powerlines
and vehicles. Motorists should be alert for wet and slick roadways
as well as low visibility and slow down accordingly.
