AT 6 AM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A BROAD
AREA OF RAIN SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS FROM EASTERN NEW
MEXICO INTO COCHRAN..NORTHERN YOAKUM AND HOCKLEY COUNTIES.
MORE WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS WERE ALSO LOCATED ACROSS MUCH OF THE
WESTERN SOUTH PLAINS. THROUGH 7 AM...THIS ACTIVITY WILL MOVE VERY
SLOWLY TO THE EAST. THE HEAVIER SHOWERS WILL BE CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING BRIEF DOWNPOURS...WHICH MAY RESULT IN PONDING OF WATER
ON AREA ROADWAYS AND HAMPER VISIBILITY.
