Showers and thunderstorms continued early this morning from the
western South Plains spreading towards the central South Plains,
and also across much of the extreme southern Texas Panhandle into
the northern Rolling Plains. Showers were moving to the east at
20 mph. Areas of brief heavy rainfall will amount to a half inch
in many locations leading to ponding and minor flooding. Small
hail may accompany the stronger storms.
