...HEAVY RAIN IS POSSIBLE AS THE REMAINS OF PACIFIC CYCLONE ODILE
APPROACH THE SOUTH PLAINS OF WEST TEXAS...

ABUNDANT MOISTURE WILL SPREAD INTO THE TEXAS SOUTH PLAINS REGION
TONIGHT AND THURSDAY IN ADVANCE OF PACIFIC TROPICAL CYCLONE ODILE.
THIS WILL LEAD TO AN INCREASING CHANCE OF LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN AND
MINOR FLOODING. RAINFALL MAY QUICKLY AMOUNT TO AN INCH OR TWO IN
SOME LOCATIONS THROUGH THURSDAY...THOUGH MOST AREAS WILL RECEIVE A
HALF INCH OR LESS. MINOR STREET FLOODING SHOULD BE EXPECTED IN
SOME AREAS.

THE REMAINS OF ODILE ARE EXPECTED TO PASS JUST NORTH OF THE AREA
LATE FRIDAY AND EARLY SATURDAY WHICH MAY LEAD TO ANOTHER ROUND OF
HEAVY RAIN. BY THE TIME THIS SYSTEM PASSES...SOME LOCATIONS COULD
SEE RAINFALL TOTALS UP TO SEVERAL INCHES. PRECISE LOCATIONS WITH
GREATEST THREAT FOR HEAVIER RAIN ARE STILL NOT CLEAR.

PERSONS PLANNING TRAVEL OR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES THROUGH SATURDAY CAN
STAY UPDATED WITH CURRENT FORECASTS ON NOAA WEATHER RADIO AND AT
WEATHER.GOV/LUB.
