PLAINS REGION FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH LATE SUNDAY...

WIDESPREAD RAINFALL WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE REGION STARTING
LATE TOMORROW EVENING AS AN UPPER LEVEL LOW DEVELOPS AND MOVES
EASTWARD ACROSS NORTHERN MEXICO. FOR MUCH OF THE SOUTH
PLAINS...ROLLING PLAINS...AND SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS PANHANDLE
PRECIPITATION WILL REMAIN IN THE FORM OF RAIN AS OVERNIGHT
TEMPERATURES REMAIN IN THE MID 30S TO LOWER 40S. SOME SNOW MAY MIX
WITH RAIN BRIEFLY SATURDAY EVENING ACROSS THE CENTRAL AND WESTERN
SOUTH PLAINS...HOWEVER...AS THE ATMOSPHERE COOLS UNDER HEAVIER
DOWNPOURS.

ACROSS THE SOUTHWESTERN TEXAS PANHANDLE AND EXTREME NORTHWESTERN
SOUTH PLAINS...TEMPERATURES CLOSER TO THE FREEZING MARK ARE
EXPECTED SATURDAY MORNING. RAIN IS EXPECTED TO CHANGE OVER TO
SNOW AFTER MIDNIGHT FRIDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUE THROUGH THE MORNING BEFORE
TRANSITIONING BACK TO RAIN AS TEMPERATURES WARM THROUGH THE DAY.
A WINTRY MIX OF RAIN...FREEZING RAIN...AND SNOW IS POSSIBLE LATE
SATURDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY SUNDAY MORNING AS LIGHT PRECIPITATION
CONTINUES TO FALL WITH TEMPERATURES DROPPING TO OR SLIGHTLY BELOW
THE FREEZING MARK.

STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS AROUND 2 INCHES WILL BE
POSSIBLE ACROSS THE SOUTHWESTERN TEXAS PANHANDLE AND FAR NORTHWEST
SOUTH PLAINS. OVERALL LIQUID WATER EQUIVALENTS WILL AVERAGE
BETWEEN THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH TO ONE INCH ACROSS THE ENTIRE
AREA BEFORE THE RAIN BEGINS TO END LATE SUNDAY.
