...LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS POSSIBLE LATER TONIGHT...

A DEVELOPING STORM SYSTEM WILL EXIT NORTHEAST NEW MEXICO THIS
EVENING BEFORE TRACKING OVER THE SOUTH PLAINS REGION AFTER
MIDNIGHT. STRONG LIFT AND INCREASING MOISTURE WITH THIS SYSTEM
ARE EXPECTED TO GENERATE LIGHT RAIN OVER MUCH OF THE REGION BEFORE
MIDNIGHT WITH SOME SNOW ALREADY POSSIBLE IN THE FAR SOUTHWEST
TEXAS PANHANDLE. AS COLDER AIR EXPANDS SOUTH AFTER MIDNIGHT...RAIN
WILL GRADUALLY MIX WITH AND CHANGE TO SNOW.

THE GREATEST POTENTIAL FOR SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE INCH IS
EXPECTED FROM THE NORTHWEST SOUTH PLAINS INTO THE SOUTHWEST TEXAS
PANHANDLE. OVER THE REMAINDER OF THE SOUTH PLAINS...TEMPERATURES
AT OR SLIGHTLY ABOVE FREEZING MAY RESTRICT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF
UNDER ONE INCH TO GRASS AND ELEVATED SURFACES SUCH AS OVERPASSES
AND BRIDGES. PERSONS WITH TRAVEL INTERESTS EARLY TUESDAY MORNING
SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS FOR FURTHER UPDATES.
