8 AM CST TUESDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LUBBOCK HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER
ADVISORY FOR LIGHT SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS
EVENING TO 8 AM CST TUESDAY.

* EVENT...LIGHT SNOW WILL DEVELOP AND SPREAD ACROSS THE FAR
  SOUTHWEST TEXAS PANHANDLE...AND WESTERN AND CENTRAL PORTIONS OF
  THE SOUTH PLAINS. SURFACE TEMPERATURES NEAR FREEZING WILL LIMIT
  HOW MUCH THE SNOW CAN ACCUMULATE. HOWEVER...ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE
  TO TWO INCHES ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA.

* TIMING...RAIN IS EXPECTED TO CHANGE OVER TO SNOW ACROSS THE FAR
  SOUTHWEST TEXAS PANHANDLE AFTER 8 PM. THE TRANSITION TO SNOW
  WILL ADVANCE SOUTHEAST OVERNIGHT AND EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. SNOW
  WILL THEN DECREASE FROM NORTH TO SOUTH BETWEEN APPROXIMATELY 5
  AM TO 8 AM TUESDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...ROADS...BRIDGES...AND OVERPASSES IN THE ADVISORY AREA
  MAY BECOME SLICK AND HAZARDOUS.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW
COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING.
