...WINTER STORM CONTINUES TO IMPACT THE TEXAS SOUTH PLAINS
REGION...

.A STRONG STORM SYSTEM CONTINUES TO SLOWLY MOVE OUT OF THE
SOUTHERN ROCKIES AND WILL MOVE TO THE SOUTHEAST THROUGH THE DAY
BEFORE MOVING EAST ACROSS THE REGION TONIGHT. THE HEAVIEST SNOW
AMOUNTS WILL FALL ACROSS THE EXTREME SOUTHERN TEXAS PANHANDLE...
WHILE LESSER TOTALS ARE EXPECTED ELSEWHERE THROUGHOUT THE SOUTH
PLAINS AND ROLLING PLAINS. PERIODS OF MODERATE SNOW WILL AMOUNT
TO 6 TO 8 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER TOTALS OVER THE EXTREME
SOUTHERN PANHANDLE. ONE TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW ARE EXPECTED FOR THE
SOUTH PLAINS AND ROLLING PLAINS.

  THROUGH THE DAY BEFORE TAPERING OFF LATE TONIGHT.

* SNOWFALL...GENERALLY 4 TO 6 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER TOTALS
  OF 8 INCHES OR MORE IN A FEW LOCATIONS.

* MAIN IMPACT...UNTREATED ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW PACKED AND ICY
  MAKING FOR DANGEROUS TRAVEL. LOCALLY HEAVY SNOWFALL RATES WILL
  ALSO RESULT IN RAPID ACCUMULATIONS OF SNOWFALL ON ROAD
  SURFACES MAKING SOME MINOR ROADS IMPASSABLE.

* OTHER IMPACTS...SUSTAINED NORTHEAST WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MPH WILL
  CREATE SOME BLOWING SNOW AND POOR VISIBILITIES.
