This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and adjacent counties in
central Maryland and northern Virginia as well as the District of
Columbia.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Scattered thunderstorms are expected over the waters late this
afternoon and evening. A few thunderstorms will be capable of
producing gusty winds.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

A flash watch is in effect from Friday afternoon through Saturday
afternoon. Widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms are
expected during this time. Scattered incidents of flash flooding
are possible from torrential downpours.

Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible as well Friday with
damaging winds being the primary threat.

A Gale Warning may be needed for portions of the waters Saturday
afternoon through Saturday night.

Spotter activation may be needed Friday afternoon through Saturday.

northern and central Virginia, and central and western Maryland
with the exception of Garrett County.
