...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY IN
WESTERN MN...
.DISCUSSION...
Although dry weather is expected today, cloudy skies and cooler
temperatures will temper fire weather conditions. Friday and
Saturday, elevated fire weather conditions are expected west of the
MS River north of the Twin Cities and west of I-35 south of the
Twin Cities. Friday will see 10-20mph southwest winds push
temperatures to near 90 in western MN, allowing afternoon
humidities to fall under 30%. Friday night, a dry cold front
will pass through western MN, with 15 to 25 mph west winds expected
for Saturday in western MN, with afternoon RHs again falling
below 30%. Trends for Sunday afternoon into Sunday night is for
a widespread rain event to push across the area.
