A weakening frontal boundary moving southeast across the region and daytime heating will allow scattered showers and thunderstorms to develop this afternoon and evening. Thunderstorm activity is expected to be isolated and generally south of I-40. With limited coverage...will only mention VCTS in CHA for now. Light showers will push further north with -RA mentioned at TYS. The atmosphere stabilizes a bit overnight for quiet and dry...VFR conditions and light winds. On Tuesday...a secondary front will be approaching the area but associated convection should hold off until after 18Z.
