000 FXUS64 KMRX 230039 AFDMRX Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Morristown TN 839 PM EDT FRI JUL 22 2016 .DISCUSSION... Regional radar shows a few isolated showers and thunderstorms over the forecast area. Other showers and thunderstorms were over southeast Kentucky and parts of Middle Tennessee. The showers over Middle TN show signs of weakening over past hour but may hold together and affect pars of Bledsoe...Roane and perhaps Rhea Counties. The SE KY showers will weaken and could move into SW Virginia as the evening progresses. Even parts of NE TN could see some light rain from whatever remains of that activity over the next few hours. Have adjusted PoP grids slightly so that chances will linger into the 4 am to 5am time period with a weak shortwave noted in the water vapor imagery in southern Indiana progged to translate into Middle TN overnight. The HRRR model has shown that rain activity will diminish as the evening and early tomorrow morning wears on. Therefore low end PoPs seemed reasonable. No other changes to overnight temps or wind and cloud cover. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
