000 FXUS64 KMRX 011859 AFDMRX AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MORRISTOWN TN 259 PM EDT SAT AUG 1 2015 .SHORT TERM /TONIGHT AND SUNDAY/... A VERY QUIET FORECAST IN THE NEAR-TERM...AS A SURFACE HIGH IS MAINTAINING THE CLEAR AND BEAUTIFUL SUNNY WEATHER OVER THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON. WITH RH VALUES IN THE 40 PERCENT RANGE...IT CERTAINLY FEELS MUCH DIFFERENT KICKING THE MONTH OF AUGUST THAN IT DID ENDING JULY. AMPLE SUNSHINE HAS ALLOWED TEMPERATURES TO CLIMB INTO THE UPPER 80S TO AROUND 90 DEGREES AS OF 3 PM EDT. HOWEVER... WITH THE CLEAR AND CALM CONDITIONS...GOOD RADIATIONAL COOLING WILL TAKE PLACE AFTER SUNSET...AND THE DRY CONDITIONS WILL ALLOW LOWS TO BOTTOM OUT IN THE UPPER 50S TO MID 60S...VERY COMFORTABLE FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. A SIMILAR SET-UP IS EXPECTED FOR TOMORROW...WITH HIGHS PERHAPS A DEGREE OR TWO HIGHER. .LONG TERM /SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY/... A COUPLE OF WEAK IMPULSES RIDING THROUGH THE FLOW ALOFT MONDAY AND TUESDAY MAY BRING ISOLATED CONVECTION OVER FAR NORTHERN LOCATIONS MONDAY AND TUESDAY. HOWEVER...THE DRY AND TRANQUIL WEATHER PATTERN WILL CONTINUE OVER MUCH OF THE AREA FOR THIS PERIOD. THEN...WE WILL TRANSITION INTO A MORE UNSETTLE PATTERN FOR THE REST OF THE EXTEND. WEDNESDAY...AN APPROACHING SYSTEM WILL PROVIDE A CHANCE OF CONVECTION ACROSS THE REGION. THERE REMAINS SOME DISAGREEMENT ON DETAILS THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE PERIOD...BUT THE TREND IS TO BRING IN MAIN SYSTEM FOR THE PERIOD THROUGH AROUND THE THURSDAY TIME FRAME FOR LIKELY TO HIGH CHANCE POPS. A SERIES OF SHORT WAVES CONTINUE TO DROP IN THROUGH THE REST OF THE EXTENDED FOR A CHANCE OF CONVECTION FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. AS FOR TEMPERATURES...THEY SHOULD BE AROUND SEASONAL NORMS FOR THE PERIOD. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
