Upper level ridge firmly entrenched over East Tennessee and North Carolina will remain in place over the next several days. At the surface, ridge of high pressure extending SW across Virginia into East Tennessee has brought light return flow to the area. With it, dewpoints have climbed back into the lower 70s across much of the region this evening. Expect quiet conditions for the overnight with some isolated pockets of fog in areas that may have recieved a passing shower earlier today. For tomorrow, expect hot and humid with heat indices approaching 100 degrees F in parts of the central and southern Tennessee Valley. Any precipitiation should be isolated to widely scattered at best, with greatest chances found over higher terrain. Brought hourly temps in line with latest observations. Otherwise forecast forecast looks good.
