The current winter weather advisories/warnings will be allowed to expire at 10 AM. The northeast TN mountains may pick up a little more snow, but probably just a half inch or less. We will have a period of clearing through the late morning and mid afternoon before the upper trough over IL/IN/KY moves in, bringing cold temps aloft that will produce scattered snow showers. Radar shows snow bands in southern KY that are projected to move into our area in the 18-21Z time frame, a little faster than reflected in the forecast. Will make some timing adjustments to PoPs and will expand the mention of flurries farther south for the update. Still expecting accumulations to be mainly in higher elevations of around one inch or less, with little to no accumulation in the Valley and Plateau.
