The forecast is generally on the right track with the rain spreading into our area, which is associated with a negatively tilted upper trough and cold front aloft. Eastward progress of these featrues is slow, and rain will linger past 12Z in our northeast sections. Thunderstorm chances tonight are low and appear isolated to the southern half based on model depictions of weakening instability aloft as the showers spread NE with time. A few tweaks to PoP/Wx grids and temperature grids will be made to better match obs and latest LAMP guidance through Friday morning, but no significant changes are needed.
