A weak shortwave will shift east of the region late tonight, through some scattered to broken decks of clouds will persist over far NE TN and SW VA for most of the night. A light sprinkle or two may accompany this activity as well -- though am not confident enough to adjust up to mentionable levels there. The remainder of the Valley will stay mostly to partly clear -- and with light winds and abundant boundary layer moisture, some patchy fog will once again be possible late tonight into early Wednesday morning. The higher dewpoints will also help keep temperatures on the mild side, with lows bottoming out in the upper 40s to lower 50s.
