Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms. ANZ898-230215- 1027 PM EDT Thu Mar 21 2024 .SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...Intensifying low pressure over NE New Brunswick will track NE away from the area while a trough moves SE across the waters tonight. High pressure will build E into the waters late tonight and Fri, then pass E of the area Fri night. A cold front will approach the coast Sat, then pass E across the waters Sat night into Sun as low pressure forms and tracks quickly NE along the front. Another broad low will develop along the front S of area Sun, and remain S and SE of the area through Mon night as a strong high pressure ridge builds to the N of the region.
