New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...Post-Tropical Cyclone Jose was
centered near 39.6N 69.3W, or about 100 nm SE of Nantucket at 11
AM EDT this morning. It is drifting SW at 2 kt with maximum
sustained winds near 40 kt. Jose will drift SW to near 39.5N
69.5W by 8 PM tonight, and turn S to near 39.3N 69.1W by 8 AM
EDT Sat, while weakening. Post-Tropical Cyclone Jose will then
slowly drift towards the SE and S during the day Sat through Sun
while continuing to weaken before dissipating early Mon.
Otherwise, S to SE swell from Hurricane Maria will impact the
area Sat through Tue night. Also, a high pres ridge will persist
inland just NW of the area today through Sat night, then shift
further NW of the waters Sun and Mon. Hurricane Maria is expected
to track N, and pass just E of the Mid-Atlantic waters Mon
through Tue night. Refer to the latest National Hurricane Center
advisories for Post-Tropical Cyclone Jose and Hurricane Maria.
