Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Middle Tennessee
National Weather Service Nashville TN
527 AM CST Tue Jan 16 2018

.DISCUSSION...Snow will spread across the Mid-State today, and taper
off from the northwest this afternoon and evening. Flurries will
linger in some areas tonight and Wednesday. Winds through Wednesday
will be out of the northwest.

As the center of surface high pressure moves to the Gulf coast late
week, winds become southwesterly, then southerly by Saturday, as a
storm system cranks up over the Plains. South winds become gusty on
Sunday, then switch to the northwest on Monday, following passage of
a cold front. The best chance for showers will be Sunday and Sunday
night, as the cold front approaches from the west.
