Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
353 PM EDT Sat Sep 16 2017

Weak high pressure over the area will provide for mainly dry
conditions through the rest of the weekend. A passing shower is
possible however early tonight and then again Sunday afternoon.
With a southeasterly flow, a warm and moist air mass is in place.
Lows will be in the lower to upper 60s with patchy fog possible.

Warm and humid conditions continue into Sunday with any fog
burning off just after sunrise. Highs will range from the middle
70s to lower 80s, with cooler temperatures expected along the
coast.

Warm and humid conditions continue into the beginning of the new
work week, with better chances for precipitation Monday and Monday
night. All eyes will be on tropical cyclone Jose as it is
currently forecast to stay off shore, but close enough to give
the area a high risk of rip currents.
